Longing to find some peace in her life at the end of a tragic relationship, Dana leaves her home in Maine and heads towards a fresh start in New Mexico at a top equestrian centre...an exciting job with a stable owner that Dana can't help but feel attracted to. Hesitant to trust again Dana struggles to keep her feelings towards Jarod at bay, all much more difficult once she becomes aware that the attraction is mutual. Torn between the impulse to throw caution to the wind and the realization of what that may cost, it all becomes much more clouded. When Dana finally summons the courage to let her guard down everything changes, but not as she hopes. Sometimes miles are not enough to keep your past behind you.
