Angela Wilson is a young woman convinced that her attractiveness and charm are sufficient to secure the happy, fairytale life she wants. A hasty marriage cruelly introduces her to bitter realities when she learns too late that her new husband is a deceiving, controlling fraud.

Forced to reclaim her life after the abuse, she still faces the challenges of a young female confronting the injustice of a patriarchal world. Nevertheless, she matures rapidly and summons the courage and fortitude to overcome adversity.
