Jharkhand and Odisha forests harbour the majority of tribal communities. Jharkhand, itself means the land of forests and its land area is about 49,821 square miles, and much of it is covered in trees! So is the case of Odisha. Land rights, displacement, right of forest produce collection, exploitation and identity crisis have been the main problems tribal people are encountering with.
