Detective Everleigh Beckett and P.I. Isaac Stern have partnered to solve two missing persons cases in time for the Christmas holidays, but when a man shows up in a hospital, claiming to be Adam O'Sullivan, Everleigh has to decide if he's delusional or telling the truth.

The case of Adam and Caleb O'Sullivan has haunted the Sacramento Sheriff's Department for decades. The brothers were believed to have been abducted by their father, Mitchell, more than forty years before, but no trace of them had ever been found.

Everleigh believes she and Isaac can find the answers in an off-the-grid commune sequestered in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, but FBI agent Dwight Aldrich wants to solve the case himself.
