The book entitled "Toxicology" Resource for Self Study Questions is an essential and practical document for self-study and guidance catering to a broad spectrum of students. This book covers a range of core toxicological areas which is aimed to make the study of toxicology simple and understandable through key points, short-problem-solving and objective questions. The information is collated and prepared from standard and authoritative textbooks which are widely scanned. The author's own experience in different branches of toxicology has been abstracted in this book. This book covers a range of key points in several core toxicological areas, including general principle of toxicology, mechanism of toxicity, disposition of xenobiotics, toxicokinetics, target organ toxicity, non-target organ toxicity such as carcinogenicity, genotoxicity, developmental abnormalities, metals and micronutrients, pesticides and fertilizers, biotoxins and venomous organisms, poisonous foods and food poisonings, gases, solvents and vapors, toxic effect of plants, radioactive materials, environmental and eco-toxicology as well as forensic and clinical toxicology. Across 15 chapters, the book "Toxicology", presents key concepts supplemented with practical exercises to support active learning; these exercises include objective questions in the format of short-problem-solving questions (900), multiple choice questions (1200), fill in the blanks (750), true/false (250) and match of statements (200). These questions will help readers gain a deeper understanding of toxicology, as well as assist memory retention for university and board examinations. The main strength of the book is that it reflects the breadth and multidisciplinary nature of toxicology with objective approach to the subject and provides comprehensive coverage of key toxicological concepts for self-study and revision.
