Once a sleepy fishing village on the outskirts of Malaga, Torremolinos is today quite different from its turn-of-the-20th-century self. A popular escape for tourists from all corners of Europe, it is one of the Spanish Costa del Sol's most popular cities. Fuengirola and Benalmadena are popular tourist destinations next door to Torremolinos which also overlook the beautiful blue waters and beaches of the Mediterranean.
