To The Virgins

To The Virgins tells the story of three young men in the 1950s. The war in Korea is being waged across the sea; and service in the military, going to college, and the pursuit of women are subjects foremost in the their minds. The story is told by means of a series of letters written by one character to one of the others. His description of his experiences are sometimes hilarious and sometimes unsettling. An undercurrent that runs through those letters will hold the reader's attention to the end, anticipating the conclusion but surprised nevertheless.
