A story of three boys growing up in America, Scotland and Africa in the late 1800s. Chance takes them to Africa, where a new frontier is opening up. Then, through political machinations, matters take a disastrous turn. The Matabele nation rebels against the colonial settlers, and suddenly everything changes. When these three boys meet on the battlefield, history takes a dramatic turn. Based on a true story.
