Time Rewritten

It is 1812 and Jane Austen has been propelled by an unknown force to 1895 London. Who can she call on to find out why she is in a French speaking London? And how is she to return to 1812? Terrified and overwhelmed, she obtains a copy of The London Times. The front page has the lead story of a great detective, Sherlock Holmes. Will Holmes believe her and help her? Holmes, Watson, and Austen work feverishly to discover who has committed this fracture in time. Who has changed the past so that in this future, England is a colony of the French? They find and enlist the help of H G Wells and his working Time Machine to get the world back on its correct trajectory.Jane and Sherlock find a strong and growing attraction to one another. But they must put the wants of their own hearts on hold to keep history from being irrevocably altered.
