Beskrivelse
Julie Day was proud of the fact that she always managed to get over a break-up within a matter of days. So, when the relationship with the first man she had seriously considered marrying came to an abrupt end in June 2014, she couldn't believe how devastated she was. After three weeks of soul-searching and non-stop crying, Julie suddenly decided to stop wallowing and began to write the first poems of this book. Within a month her mood and outlook on life changed to the more positive. And so did her writing. This collection of 30 poems takes the reader on an emotional journey through Julie's heartbreak and out the other end. It covers all the stages typically associated with this type of anguish including anger, despair, hope, denial and acceptance. While the poems started out as being deeply personal, after a while, Julie realised that what she was writing, and the messages contained within her poems, could really help other people going through the same thing. The collection is essentially spiritual in nature, easy-to-read and simple in style, and the book has been described as a "self-help manual in poetry form." Each poem is accompanied by a scenic photograph taken by the author from her home on the Costa Blanca in Spain.
