Raised in a family of American warriors, 9-year-old Buddy wonders if becoming a dancer will truly honor his family legacy. After following his sister to dance class, he takes lessons so he can enter his school's talent competition. But when the tough kids from Newark bully him for dancing, Buddy learns the value of courage from his grandfather, a World War II veteran, who inspires him with the story of how his regiment stormed Omaha Beach in 1944.
