When Broadway star, Taylor Morgan, met reporter Laura Collins twenty-five years ago, he had no idea of the twists and turns their lives would take. Three daughters. One granddaughter. Successful careers as a singer, actor, and author. The future is bright for Taylor and Laura as their youngest daughter, Annie, prepares to launch out on her own and Taylor and Laura contemplate a well-earned empty nest.

When Laura is offered the chance of a lifetime to travel to Bosnia for a writing assignment she can't pass up the opportunity. Taylor is reluctant to let her leave, but he knows there is no stopping Laura when she's set her mind to something. Then the unthinkable happens. . .and their world is ripped apart.
