Because the concept of the Kingdom of God has historically presented a variety of interpretations, this book examines each while ultimately establishing the appropriate elucidation. This is significant because all factions agree on the existence of the Kingdom, but they disagree on its nature and implications. Views range from a future hope, present spiritual blessing, an alternative society, a utopian existence, the institutional church, to a political state. As such, this work explores the relationship between the concept of the Kingdom of God and the redeemed community's attitude and behavior.
