VESTA. MYRINA. CAL. ESMERELDA.
Four people, four paths. One future.
Vesta is finding that Nox's love and support are the only things keeping her from losing her mind after her beloved brother, Cal, abandons her in her greatest time of need. She is still recovering from the pain her rash decisions have caused, but Vesta has bigger issues than her hatred for herself. As the weeks carry on and the twins still haven't arrived, her life-and the life of her babies-are at risk.
Meanwhile, life in Aelsimian has been irrevocably altered by the falling of the wall. When attacks begin and a solution still hasn't been found, Myrina has to decide what to do to save the people she loves. But things get worse as the relationship she formed with Cal comes to light, and Zander's jealousy grows into something that could break her more than she ever imagined.
With Arsen's court on his shoulders and his own court to lead, Cal has been busy trying to manage after losing his cousin and best friend. Still, he hasn't forgotten about Myrina and the rough life she's been leading in Aelsimian. He is running out of time as his past and future inch closer together, and soon he will have to make a choice. Will he accept the love he so desperately craves and fight for the girl he can't seem to forget? Or continue the solitary life he's created for himself since his wife's passing?
Esmerelda is beginning to question the decisions she's made-specifically her decision to follow Callista into the war that caused her cousin's death. Her past has been traumatic to say the least, the worst of it at the hands of her late father, King Minos, and twin brother, Boreas. But Vesta has done unforgivable things to her as well, and in order to trust each other enough to fight on the same side, Vesta and Esmerelda will have to open wounds so old, Vesta hardly remembered they were even there. Will Esmerelda's trust be earned in time? Or will she continue on the warpath that had her determined to bring Vesta and Cal to their knees?
The fate of their world is in their hands.
