THREE PLAYS TO BE BLACKLISTED & BURNED

Of these three plays, only 'The Order of Otara & That Party Crashing Pervert' has been performed, at the time of this printing. It was at The Hostess (538 SE Ash St., Portland) on November 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22 of 2009 at 8:00 PM.

I wrote the play "The Life & Times of Benjamin Waterhouse" because in Portland Oregon there was a theatre critic with the same name and I thought it was a very funny name, and then I learned about the main character of this play, and I thought that his history needed to be written about. The play is a comedy.

I wrote "Happily, Ever Never" because I just love mayhem, insanity, and utter pandemonium.

My cause, it would seem is to save theater from the self-deprecation crap that is out there. It is mostly constant crying with no comedy or jokes and mostly abstract nightmarish type of plays with bad lighting, ugly actresses, bad set design, shabby costumes, and nothing offensive or intellectual in the script, just depressing subjects. Nothing fun, just Politically Correct Drab. When I go to a play, I want to leave the theater saying, "That was awesome! I'm in a good mood, now let's get some drinks!"
