"Mother Caldwell" tells the story of a right-wing candidate for governor whose campaign is undermined by a chance acquaintance of her gay son. "The Last Days..." finds America's most famous atheist holed up on an island, waiting for embezzled funds to arrive, as she confronts ghosts from her past and the thorny nature of belief and disbelief.
