Beskrivelse
By day Bartleby Flynn works in the cavernous interior of the National Library of Books and Publications. One evening he happens upon an untitled book whose detail and mysterious origin holds as much fascination for him as any published volume. Obsessively following a thread of textual clues from the book itself and the discussion fora of The Correspondent newspaper website, Flynn begins to track the unknown author down, in an attempt to rescue him from an oblivion deeper than the grave. In so doing, he begins to learn the shades of meaning behind the unknown author's favourite proverb, 'in der Nacht sind alle Katzen grau' ('all cats are grey by night')... A haunting tale of loneliness and monomania that is full of textual tricks and surprises.
