The ongoing saga of 'Those Who Dwell in the Dark' continues in this direct sequel to 'Baron's Hollow'- and a new era in the lives of our remaining heroes has begun. After dealing with the fallout of the demonic invasion that occurred at the start of the summer, everyone discovers that they can't ever truly go back to the 'home' they thought they once knew. In order to protect both Baron's Hollow and the people they love, they must use their newfound abilities and train to become the hunter guardians of their quiet town in Vaughn's stead. Under the tutelage of their new friend Lieutenant Victoria Hastings, they have to balance honing their skills, regularly fighting this newly-uncovered menace, recovering from the physical and mental trauma of the event that set this all in motion, their own forms of inner turmoil, and attempting to lead seemingly normal lives as to not arouse suspicion. While the event brought everyone closer together, the collective amount of secrets, burdens, and anxieties held amidst them threatens to crush them once school starts again. In this coming-of-age horror epic, they all bond through their shared experiences. Some relationships are rigorously tested, while others are strengthened tenfold. When a terrifyingly powerful force threatens to finish what their previous adversary started, everyone is pushed to their absolute limits- not just on an individual basis, but also as a cohesive unit. With an uncertain future for all on the horizon, the looming specter of more revelations show that even after their discovery of another world, the secrets of hunters, demons, and even themselves prove to be their greatest challenge yet.
