Beskrivelse
'THORNS AND FLOWERS' is a collection of three lucidly written poems: the title poem which illustrates how 'thorns' and 'flowers' exist in all aspects of life; 'TALE FROM LAGOS' details the struggle to survive of a fresh school-leaver in the city of Lagos during a military regime in the Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP) years; and 'A LONG LOVE SONG' is a fantastical trek to unravel love. The second and last poems are both fairly long rhyming narratives. The collection is a superb follow-up to 'COLOURS (OF LIFE, LOVE AND FAITH)' which has one hundred and twenty-six poems in it.
