There and Back Again

This is a memoir about why I volunteered for and eventually worked for the Kennedy campaign. It is a story about my adventures on the road for weeks collecting signatures and sitting at fair booths-often with my young daughter in tow. It is a story about what went wrong with the campaign-a teaching story so it will not happen again on future independent campaigns. It is a story about how the Kennedy Campaign should be the beginning of the Independent Revolution-not the end of it because a single, naïve, unprepared man with poor advisors, who was living under immense pressure, gave in and gave up.
