Therapeutic education program for patients with hemophilia

Therapeutic education is an integral and permanent part of the management of patients with hemophilia. A 4-step PTE program for patients with hemophilia is developed by a multidisciplinary team. The educational tools are rich and varied, including video clips, pictures, posters, brochures and booklets. The first step is the educational diagnosis, which identifies the patient's needs and takes into account his or her expectations while respecting the different aspects of his or her personality. The caregiver-educator establishes with the patient the objectives to be achieved throughout the course, thus defining the educational contract. The choice of educational sessions can therefore differ according to the learning priorities. The patient can then follow a personalized therapeutic education program.
