Theo of Arabia - A Teacher's Diary from Ar'ar

A European English language teacher gets a job in a small town called Ar'ar in the north of Saudi Arabia and in the middle of the desert. It is a diary of a trip into the desert, to a town in the Northern Border Region, close to the Iraqi border. This alone promises to be an adventurous trip. What will it be like to live in a town with almost no white people? What will it be like to live in the Kingdom? In a muslim country with five prayer times and fully veiled women? It is the story of a white man within the local Arab community. It's full of adventure and it is colourfully and detailed narrated. It is a dive into an unknown world, a world we know so little about.
