WHATEVER views may be suggested by the title, this housekeeping guide is really and truly a work on Physical Education. Like the "Young Mother," with which the public are already familiarly acquainted, it has for its principal end and aim, the physical improvement of the community. It is intended as a means of rendering house-keepers thinking beings, and not as they have hitherto often been, mere pieces of mechanism; or, what is little better, the mere creatures of habit or slaves of custom.
