At fifty-five years old, writer Bob Dawson should be at the top of his game. An accomplished author of the whodunit genre, his titles used to make regular appearances on the best seller list. But it's been seven years since his last novel. Seven years since his wife, Caroline, fell ill with cancer-and two years since she passed away.

Now with his only inspiration gone, his publisher is threatening to pull the plug, and Bob's forced to put pen to paper once again. Unable to find the intrigue or suspense for a true murder mystery, he settles on creating a classic romance, featuring a strawberry blonde heroine who is the spitting image of his late wife.
