Beskrivelse
Solomon disguised himself as a shepherd named Jedidiah who went to visit the vineyard that had belonged to his father, David. There he saw a beautiful woman singing and dancing in the vineyard. Her name was Shulamit, but he didn't know that yet.
They met as she heard a shepherd singing on the hilltop. Wooed by his beautiful voice, she danced all the way to where he was keeping sheep. She joined in the singing with dancing and they began laughing, sharing their hearts before they even realized they were already in love.
Jedidiah proposed.
Shulamit accepted.
She had grown up in a family who worshipped with King David on his visits to their shared vineyard. Her greatest desire was to worship in the Tabernacle of David and marry a man she could have a family to worship with. Shulamit was excited about her betrothed's return.
Jedidiah left as a shepherd and returned as King Solomon. This was not her plan. But God had a bigger destiny waiting for her. King Solomon took her to the palace, and she brought her joy of worship to the queen's court. She also brought it to the king's table, the tabernacle of David, and eventually the nation of Israel.
Shulamit was overwhelmed, but when Solomon asked if she could love him as a king, she said, "Yes." Thus begins this true and timeless love story.
