Beskrivelse
Growing up in Aberdare in the south Wales valleys, Demi thinks that her only problem is how to navigate the start of secondary school with her best friend Georgie. However, when Georgie's family announce that they are emigrating to Australia, Demi decides to do the only logical thing - study physics until she discovers the secret of time travel so she can keep stop her friend from leaving.
To her surprise, Demi discovers Cardiff University to be a world leader in time travel and sets out to use its research to right all the wrongs of the world's history - Georgie's family moving, the decline of Aberdare, the Aberfan disaster - and, of course, a trip to a Time Travel Addicts conference in ... where else but Berlin in 1932?
However, Demi is going to discover that travelling through time brings its own dilemmas and questions about who we are, what we do and how experience affects us. It's also going to be a crash course in the history of Wales that she never learnt about in school and a realisation that time travel is a male-dominated industry.
Funny, poignant, sad and leaving you questions to answer, this is a novella for anyone who has ever had a past or who wants a future.
