Beskrivelse
The Wonky Repetition of Careless Overhearing is a poetry collection inspired by disparate memories, random reflections and observations, half-forgotten places, ephemeral relationships, fleeting experiences, and thoughts gathered over many decades.
The roads of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Bucks
Unrolled their soft miles below my bicycle's tyres.
Roads empty but for occasional trucks.
Autumn air smoke-filled with hedgerow pyres.
My dream journey took me back to sleepy Flamstead,
Where no-one seemed to be in their silent homes,
And the crumbling walls of castle Berkhamsted,
In days long ago before mobile phones.
"Frank, musing and delightful, The Wonky Repetition of Careless Overhearing, is a collection of thoughtful poems dedicated to experience and life by poet and writer Roderick Craig Low. Exploring themes such as childhood, emotion and time, the author's conversational and succinct words convey depth and familiarity, a collection to be cherished by all." R.S.
