The weight of the soul

Words have tremendous power.

Words that hurt, words that condemn us, and words that save us from an immense need for love.

There are stories and stories.

There are stories more complex than others.

I tell mine.

Sofia is a child like many others until her life suddenly changes.The death of her parents and the beginning of a war against an enemy more difficult than death: mental anorexia.

Her body becomes the means to express discomfort, because the body "speaks," the body communicates more than words. The body does not pretend.

Thus, with apparent detachment, Sofia will fight meeting along the way those who can help her look at her self-image with different eyes.

To heal from the sick love of an overprotective mother.

To become a woman.

A mother died too soon, when Sofia was in her pre-teen years. She remains an ideal. A dream. A model to imitate. A "difficult obstacle to demolish."

I couldn't do it all by myself.

Today I feel balanced with my healthy imperfection.

I have won over an evil called "control."

Yes, because control prevents you from living.

It is a lie that the mind tells the heart.

And mine, it is really a story of emotions struggling with rationality.
