"I'm dead and this is all just my brain short-circuiting."
Ralph smiled at her creativity.
"I'm afraid it's much simpler than that, Tidbit."
She looked up, still horrified that he knew the nickname
her father had given her. He slid down the tree until
he was kneeling at her level.
"I'm an angel, and this," he motioned around,
"is a couple of thousand years behind where you were."
She didn't move.
"I brought you here to help you."
"Oh," she said with distant eyes and a nod.
"So, you brought me to biblical times in my cat
pajamas to a country I can't speak the language... to..."
He was nodding along.
"To get baptized," he nodded.
"Ah, yeah," she responded, and he felt like
she was being condescending. "To get baptized."
One prayer was all it took for Katie Thorne to find herself thrust backward in time by the archangel Raphael to heal the mother of all wounds.
Following the death of her father, Katie is sent to live with four women named Mary in Biblical Galilee. There, Katie must learn to give and receive love, all while exploring the mythical roles of Jesus and the women who loved him.
See aspects from the gospels through the eyes of a modern day woman, with glimpses into the Wedding at Cana, John the Baptist, Jesus turning away his mother, and the crucifixion.
As she relaxes into her position in a new time, she will discover secrets
that will change her life forever.
This magical novel will transport you to a time of miracles and mystery, while helping those born to difficult mothers find a way to heal.
A note from the author: My inspiration for this novel came after reading the book of Tobit for the first time. In that story, Tobit and Sarah are both distraught characters who pray for death as an escape from their emotional pain. The archangel Raphael hears their prayers and comes to Earth to help them. This is my twist on that story. I hope you enjoy it.
