Beskrivelse
'The Wash House' is an essay about a simple building whose importance for the architect increases with the passage of time: a building whose lineage is of those who "show their ability to add truth and dignity to human activity. It seems that architecture is then capable of conquering the depths of life".
This essay won the competition 'Time & Space - Writing about architecture' held by the Henning Larsen Foundation in 2012 to encourage the revitalization of the basic tools of architecture.
173 essays from 18 different countries were submitted. The jury consisted of, among others, Henning Larsen himself, one of the last masters of Danish architecture.
