Beskrivelse

Life can many times be incredibly unfair, as sorrow after sorrow begins to weigh down upon our hearts. Despite our best efforts, our situation in life many times does not improve, no matter how much we wish that it would. And yet, we are told that God loves us. How can that be so? Is not this cruel suffering of ours evidence of His indifference towards us? However, no matter how accurate this belief may appear, it could not be further from the truth.

The Wandering Sparrow is an inspiring story about a little bird named Ilya, who struggled with this same problem. Life had been very hard for Ilya, with one hard break after another, and he simply could not grasp why things could not be different. After all, the world seemed so harsh and merciless to him. Why must good creatures fall ill and die? Why need the clouds rage in the sky? Why must our own family make us cry...

Yet, things are not at all as they may appear, for when Ilya is transported to a new world, without any physical pain, he nevertheless finds it difficult, despite the many blessings. Hunger and thirst were nonexistent there, and the weather was always fair. No one ever died in the land either - surely it must be an earthly paradise...right? But, as is sadly true with many of our dreams, if it does not lead towards the Lord, all our hopes are in vain...
