The Visitor - Texas 1863-1869

Book II of The Visitor takes Dominic and Mirisa to Texas where they start a horse ranch and a family. The ranch consumes so much of Dominic's life while Mirisa begins to struggle with living on the fringe of his passions. Trying to find her place in this world dominated by men and nature, Mirisa constantly finds herself in dangerous situations that push her to fight against her basic fear and the need to deal with her emotions in the fight to be less dependent on the men in her life.
