The Vienna Model 2

The Vienna Model 2, which is the book accompanying the exhibition by the same name that has been successful since 2013, analyses the latest developments in housing and shows the best Viennese examples in recent decades. It shows how technical, ecological and social qualities are continuously developed further as part of a wide participatory process and can thereby set new standards. The IBA Vienna 2022 presented for the first time in this book will also be dedicated to the topic of 'new social housing'. Alongside this, renowned experts present the current housing construction situation in North America, Asia and the EU. This volume therefore represents a significant contribution to the worldwide discussion about the future of housing in cities that will accommodate two thirds of the world population in future.Text in English and German.
