"The Untold Story" by Genevieve Cogman is the eight book in the Invisible Library fantasy series about Librarian Spy Irene. 

In “The Untold Story” Irene is going on a dangerous solo mission. She has to eliminate an old enemy - and it has to be kept a secret for whatever it takes. But the mission is not Irene’s only problem. Suddenly, multiple worlds vanish.

To solve the mystery about the disappearing worlds, Irene and her friends have to search in the unplumbed depths of the Library. What they find on their most dangerous mission ever will change everything they know. 

The series about the Invisible Library is Genevieve Cogman’s debut as an author and the series is a success. The books in the Invisible Library benefit from being read in order but “The Untold Story” and the other books can be read without reading the other ones as Genevieve Cogman is introducing the world yet again in each book.
