Asia has in recent years been challenged by a financial crisis. While some countries have moved toward increased stability, others have struggled with churning economic or political upheaval, including territorial disputes, nuclear rivalry, rising nationalist sentiments, and increased military capabilities. This book examines future directions for the region and outlines an integrated political, military and economic strategy that the US can pursue to inhibit the growth of rivalries in Asia.
