The Uncommon Cent's Journey

Everyone has a story. Not everyone gets to tell it. The Uncommon Cent's Journey is a series of short stories with each tale involving different characters in a different time and place. The one thing that connects them all is a single penny, minted in 1943. It is the lone witness to everyday humor, love, sadness, and pain stretched over nearly eight decades.
About the Author
Brad Muller has worked in college athletics in various roles since 1993. As a sports broadcaster and writer, his interactions with student-athletes and coaches from all walks of life have not only created countless memories, but also experiences for which he wished others could have been a fly on the wall to witness those unique moments and emotions. Born in Stamford, Conn., Muller is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and currently works at his alma mater. When he's not getting paid to "watch kids play ball," he enjoys doing anything that involves being with his wife, Katherine, and son, Bert.
