Hunter Roberge left Otter Falls, Vermont when she was 18, to get away from a life of scandal and judgment. Sixteen years later she returns to her 'hometown' for the funeral of the one person who condemned her the most: her mother. Being bequeathed the family house is just the first in a long line of mysteries that unravel the fabric of everything Hunter believes to be true.
