The Trials

Flair Evans lives in a world unlike any other-a world changed forever by a deadly lab accident. This accident released a chemical into the air that caused people to develop a new part of their bodies called the Spark, which gave them the ability to wield mysterious powers. However, the tension between people with powers and people without soon caused a rift in the country, which led to the Great War. This war split the country into two sectors: The West Sector and the East Sector. Now, one hundred years later, tensions between the sectors still run high, which introduces the need for the Trials: a game where the twenty-five most powerful children compete for the honor of defending the West Sector from the East. However, something dangerous is brewing underneath the Trials, something that Flair can't quite seem to discover. But it's something she'll need to unearth if she's going to survive.
