It's stunning that such a central figure of Basque cultural and literary history as Joxe Mari Iparragirre has never before been published in English. We are very lucky indeed that the Center for Basque Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno has chosen to support these translations, bringing this sometimes funny, sometimes political, sometimes romantic, and always passionate work to an English-speaking audience.
