The Traveler and the Secret

A young man left his wife in the village barely one month after their marriage to go and search for job opportunity so that he could take care of his new family. He traveled on foot for seven weeks to a big ancient city in a distant kingdom, far away from home.He saw a job opening and was engaged to serve a wealthy businessman for twenty years. After those long years of service, his master offered him three packages as his settlement, namely: a small calabash, a big calabash and the secret of the success and greatness of his master.The young man ignored the financial benefits in the two calabashes and chose the secret of his master. On his way back home, he soon discovered that he had to rely on the secret of his master for his safety from the calamities that could befall him along the way.He got home at night and was stunned to find a young man and his wife, right in his bedroom. He was greatly grieved by what he came to see under his roof. He was faced with yet another great choice to make as he considered doing things his way or following the path given by the secret of his master.
