What would you do in the event of a massive solar flare striking the earth knocking out the power grid across the U.S.? Would you be a lone wolf and try to ride it out or would you band together with others in a group? What if you were working at your job miles from home. Would you be properly prepared to make the journey back home to your love ones? Would your loved ones even know what to do in your absence until you were able to make it home?Willis had been a prepper for years. He figured that he had it all thought out. What he found out is that nothing ever goes according to plan. When the solar flare stikes, he is working at a natural gas site. He sets out to make the long trek home. Along the way, he finds himself caring for a baby. Something that was never in the scenarios he had planned for. His journey and after he makes it back is full of unexpected twists and turns. The events that unfold will have a profound impact on how he and his family views things and cope with the day to day struggles to survive. One thing Willis does learn is that family and friends will be everything in trying to survive in this new world and to keep hold of the family farm from those who want to try and take it from them. One never knows from one day to the next what's waiting for them around the corner out of sight. Death is inevitable and loved ones will perish.
