The Science Museum of Long Island (SMLI) is a unique science and technology education center housed in the Nassau County-owned Leeds Pond Preserve, a beautiful waterfront park and woodland located on Manhasset Bay. For more than 50 years, the Science Museum of Long Island has been making science education fun and exciting for children of all ages. SMLI provides an interactive, innovative, and hands-on learning environment for pre-school-aged to high-school-aged youngsters. In addition, SMLI offers both adult and family-oriented programs throughout the year that focus on science literacy for everyone.
