"I am greater than Adam, I was made from fire, and he was made from mud. How can I bow down to him" This is what Satan said, when Allah ordered the angels to bow down to «Adam as a salutation, honoring, and magnifying to the ability of the Almighty Allah who created a human out of mud. So, they all bow down to him except The Satan who refused to bow.
