The Stolen Years of the Handsome Father

A stage play, The Stolen Years of the Handsome Father examines a man who looks back on his life and realizes a life-altering choice he made as a university student has not been worth the life he finds himself living today. It's about a personal dilemma to continue on as he has, believing that regret and loss are simply a part of life, or making a bold change that could end the anguish inside. The play's central theme exposes the emotional harm of holding in a secret that simply steals the years of a person's life, as well as the years of others affected by his youthful decision. This is the first stage play by Gary Nelson, author of the 2013 novel, The Prophetess of Islam.
