The Stability of Equilibrium Capillary Surfaces

This new book is dedicated to the stability problem for equilibrium capillary surfaces. The importance of this problem lies in the fact that only stable equilibrium states can be realized in nature, while the effect of surface tension is universal in occurrence. Interest in the theory of capillary phenomena has quickened in the last decades in connection with development of aerospace engineering and technology, and new ideas in the simulation of porous media.
