"The Silmarillion" written by J. R. R. Tolkien and edited by Christopher Tolkien takes us even further into the first myths and legends of Middle-Earth.
"The Silmarillion" collects five different parts that unfolds new sides of J. R. R. Tolkien’s fascinating universe in the Elder Days, of the First Age. In this time the first dark Lord, Morgoth, was living in Middle-Earth when the High Elves declared war upon to win back the Silmaris. The five parts also tells the story behind the Creation and about the nature and powers of the gods. Besides the stories the book also contains an introduction and an enchanting letter written by J. R. R. Tolkien in 1951 in which he unfolds his perspectives on the early ages of Middle-earth.
"The Silmarillion" was released posthumously J.R.R Tolkien and was edited by his son Christopher Tolkien with help from the fantasy author Guy Gavriel Kay.
