There's more to being a sidekick than performing menial tasks for the caped hero. Sometimes it means allowing myself to be used as bait as I'm kidnapped and transported across the Veil. I know my best friend will track me down, after all she's a badass superhero. But this time she won't be alone. My boyfriend is by her side, eager to unleash violent chaos on any who dare hurt me. Yet, as all of us venture into Veil-a land under Fae rule-not all is as it appears. Enemies are hidden, and allies harbor their own double-sided intentions. If I hold any hope of making it out alive, I have to decide who I can trust... and who is plotting against me.
