The Sheriff shows how two high school teammates, Mike Haverty and Jimmy Middleton, fought and defeated a Mexican drug lord and his local law enforcement conspirators. From Panama City Beach to the mountains of East Tennessee to Rio de Janeiro and Mexico City, The Sheriff will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.Haverty, a local football hero who played at the University of Tennessee, returned home and practiced criminal defense law for several years. Sensing that the local attorney general handed out deals that were too sweet and knowing that he tried very few drug cases, Haverty mounts an election challenge. When he and his finance are attacked by notorious drug lord Carlo DeJesus, Haverty's old teammate Jimmy Middleton steps in to help. The two uncover a deep web of law enforcement officials throughout East Tennessee controlled by DeJesus led by Monroe County Sheriff John "Hoss" Mason and his son J.R.
