The Shattered Adult: A Survivors Story

Trigger Warning: Childhood Sexual Assault! I was described as full of energy and light coming into this world. This is my story about how I try to find that little girl again. My family was based in southern Baptist Christian values. They ignored, enabled, and instigated my sexual abuse and then turned around and beat and blamed me for it. The level of mental, emotional, physical and psychological abuse I endured should have me on the streets, homeless, addicted, or dead but here i am. The shame and silence of any abuse is what gives it power. Will you stand with me in the light to protect other children and allow them to choose their path, instead of having it chosen for them?
