The Shadow Affair

Paris is a city plagued by corruption, where drug cartels and prostitution rings reign supreme. The story follows a young inspector, Élise Morel, newly transferred to the drug squad. Brilliant but underestimated, she is determined to dismantle a fearsome cartel led by an elusive criminal known as "L'Ombre." This mysterious leader remains elusive, operating through a multitude of intermediaries.

As Élise's investigation progresses, she discovers that the prostitution and drug trafficking networks are intimately linked to powerful figures in the political and judicial worlds, complicating the situation. Her investigation leads her to a luxury club where wealthy businessmen mingle with organized crime figures. She manages to infiltrate this world, but her progress triggers a series of brutal murders to cover their tracks.
